Easy Vacations For Parents With Waterbabies

When everyone in the family loves to swim and splash in the water, it dramatically opens up the choices for where and how to vacation together. And when there are still babies and infants in the crew, you want to find some extra-gentle waters to enjoy. Many parents know the multiple benefits of swimming and water sports for young children, and often nowadays start their kids in the water with infant swimming lessons. Vacation time doesn’t mean this has to stop – here are some fun places around the country where all the kids and adults can make a splash, and even baby can take a dip safely and calmly.

Grand Haven, Michigan

Michigan may not be the first place that you think about for a family beach vacation but you would be wrong. Grand Haven has a beautiful boardwalk where your water babies can enjoy fresh water. Yes! That means no salt water in the eyes. The city also has a dog-friendly park and a state park where the whole family can enjoy nature. When evening comes, be sure to check out the nightly water and music show that is performed at a local fountain. Many local shops and restaurants make this a wonderful place for the family to vacation.

New Braunfels, Texas

For a Texas river adventure, New Braunfels is an ideal place to visit. Spend lazy days drifting in inner tubes on the Guadalupe River or Comal River. Kids young and old can stay cool and enjoy being in the water without having to worry about rough rapids. These rivers offer gentle waters instead. Visit Schlitterbahn Waterpark for a diverse range of water fun and exciting rides, and even more protected areas for the very young. New Braunfels has other kid-friendly attractions and amenities as well, including McKenna Children’s Museum. San Antonio is also close by for even more activities, including a history lesson at the Alamo. Choose from a wide range of accommodations in New Braunfels, such as condos, bed and breakfasts, hotels, cabins, resorts and RV parks.

Riviera Beach, Florida

For a perfect family vacation in the sand and surf, consider the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa. Kids can dive into programs with the Ocean Club and the Kids Zone. There they are supervised for activities that are designed for children ages 4-12. This lets mom and dad explore the area or take their water baby to the beach or pool for time together. Scavenger hunts and explorer games keep older children engaged and safely supervised.

Loews Coronado Bay in San Diego, California

When your family is craving some beach time, this resort is perfect for the whole family. Located near a quiet stretch of Silver Strand Beach, when beach time is done, there are abundant activities that the family can engage in. For families with little ones, there are many amenities available. For instance, when a crib is requested, it also comes with a CD of lullabies. Rooms can be childproofed. If needed, potty seats, step stools and strollers are available. Kid friendly menus, as well as toys such as sand buckets and pool toys are available when requested. There are programs designed to engage every child in the family during their stay.
